OCTC Surgical Technology Program Hosting Preadmission Conference

OWENSBORO, KY (02/22/2018) Owensboro Community & Technical College offers the Associate in Applied Science - Surgical Technology degree program.

Surgical technologists are integral members of medical teams who work closely with surgeons and other medical professionals in multiple settings, including offices, surgical centers, and hospitals.

This selective admissions program is hosting a preadmission conference for the Fall 2018 semester at 10 a.m. on Wednesday March 21, or 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 in the Science building, room #110 located at OCTC's Main Campus at 4800 New Hartford Road, Owensboro, Kentucky 42303.

The program has a limited number of seats available each year. Applications for Fall 2018 will be handed out during the session and attendance at one of these sessions meets one of the requirements for acceptance into the program. The deadline for applications to be submitted is May 1, 2018.

The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), and program graduates are eligible to take the certifying examination offered by the National Board of Certification for Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
