ALBANY, NY (08/26/2010)(readMedia)-- New York State Office of General Services Commissioner John C. Egan today announced that bids representing more than $2.0 MILLION in new construction have been awarded. The awards encompass ten contracts that will provide work in four New York counties.
The contracts are expected to be awarded to the apparent low bidders following the normal process of review and approval by the State Comptroller's Office. All of the low bidders are New York State firms.
The projects and apparent low bidders are described in the following listing by county:
CAYUGA COUNTY
Electrical and elevator contracts were bid to rehabilitate elevator #7, Building No. 12 at the Auburn Correctional Facility in Auburn, NY.
Electrical: JB Daniel LLC of Geneva, NY was the apparent low bidder out of three firms. The low bid was $38,800.
Elevator: Otis Elevator Company of E. Syracuse, NY was the apparent low bidder out of two firms. The low bid was $296,634.
FRANKLIN COUNTY
Construction, electrical, heating and ventilation and plumbing contracts were bid to renovate shower areas, Building Nos. 4, 5 & 6 at the Chateaugay Correctional Facility in Chateaugay, NY.
Construction: Murnane Building Contractors, Inc. of Plattsburgh, NY was the apparent low bidder out of 11 firms. The low bid was $216,500.
Electrical: Triangle Electrical Systems, Inc. of Plattsburgh, NY was the apparent low bidder out of 11 firms. The low bid was $39,975.
Heating and Ventilation: Skelly Contractors, Inc. of Ogdensburg, NY was the apparent low bidder out of ten firms. The low bid was $100,500.
Plumbing: Skelly Contractors, Inc. of Ogdensburg, NY was the apparent low bidder out of 12 firms. The low bid was $205,188.
QUEENS COUNTY
A construction contract to repair roof and repoint exterior envelope Building No. 18 at the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in Queens Village, NY was bid by 21 firms. Of those 21, Delidakis Construction Co., Inc. of Brooklyn, NY was the apparent low bidder with a bid of $262,700.
WASHINGTON COUNTY
Construction, electrical and plumbing contracts were bid to rehabilitate guard towers at the Great Meadow Correctional Facility in Comstock, NY.
Construction: Gallo Construction Corp. of Watervliet, NY was the apparent low bidder out of six firms. The low bid was $651,426.
Electrical: John Coyne Electrical Contracting, Inc. of East Greenbush, NY was the apparent low bidder out of seven firms. The low bid was $162,400.
Plumbing: John V. Warren, Inc. of Green Island, NY was the apparent low bidder out of three firms. The low bid was $41,700.
