OGS to Award over $27.9 Million in New Construction Contracts

Work to Commence in Albany County, New York

ALBANY, NY (08/19/2010)(readMedia)-- New York State Office of General Services Commissioner John C. Egan today announced that bids representing more than $27.9 MILLION in new construction have been awarded. The awards encompass four contracts that will provide work in Albany County, New York.

The contracts are expected to be awarded to the apparent low bidders following the normal process of review and approval by the State Comptroller's Office. All of the low bidders are New York State firms.

ALBANY COUNTY

Construction, electrical, heating and ventilation and plumbing contracts were bid to New York State Police-Troop G campus at the Troop G Headquarters in Colonie, NY.

Construction: LeChase Const. Svcs., LLC d/b/a LeChase Construction of Schenectady, NY was the apparent low bidder out of 13 firms. The low bid was $16,594,400.

Electrical: Kasselman Electric Co., Inc. of Albany, NY was the apparent low bidder out of seven firms. The low bid was $5,869,721.

Heating and Ventilation: DiGesare Mechanical, Inc. of Schenectady, NY was the apparent low bidder out of ten firms. The low bid was $3,897,700.

Plumbing: Merit Plumbing & Heating, LLC of Albany, NY was the apparent low bidder out of nine firms. The low bid was $1,577,400.
