ALBANY, NY (03/18/2010)(readMedia)-- New York State Office of General Services Commissioner John C. Egan today announced that bids representing more than $555,065 in new construction have been awarded. The awards encompass five contracts that will provide work in three New York counties.
The contracts are expected to be awarded to the apparent low bidders following the normal process of review and approval by the State Comptroller's Office. All of the low bidders are New York State firms.
The projects and apparent low bidders are described in the following listing by county:
ALBANY COUNTY
Construction and electrical contracts were bid to provide photovoltaic panels at the Sheridan Hollow Parking Facility in Albany, NY.
Construction: Dutch Valley Gen. Contr., Inc. of Amsterdam, NY was the apparent low bidder out of six firms. The low bid was $65,875.
Electrical: Harold R. Clune, Inc. of Ballston Spa, NY was the apparent low bidder out of ten firms. The low bid was $364,400.
NEW YORK COUNTY
A construction contract to demolish room b-17 at the Edgecombe Correctional Facility in New York, NY was bid by ten firms. Of those ten, Moy Construction Corp. of Bedford, NY was the apparent low bidder with a bid of $46,368.
SUFFOLK COUNTY
Construction and electrical contracts were bid to demolish salt dome and loader barn at the DOT Region 10, Suffolk County in Melville, NY.
Construction: D.F. Stone Contracting, Ltd. of Medford, NY was the apparent low bidder out of 17 firms. The low bid was $52,222.
Electrical: Roland's Electric, Inc. of Deer Park, NY was the apparent low bidder out of nine firms. The low bid was $26,200.
