OGS to Hold Public Auction for Glens Falls Armory

ALBANY, NY (03/05/2010)(readMedia)-- New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner John C. Egan today announced that OGS will hold a public auction on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 of the Glens Falls Armory located at 147 Warren Street in the City of Glens Falls. The auction will be held at the New York State Department of Transportation Building,50 Wolf Road, Albany, New York. The auction will begin at 10:00 a.m. and registration begins at 9:00 a.m.

Open Houses will be held on Wednesday, March 10 and Tuesday, March 23 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Additional site inspections can be scheduled by calling 518-474-2195.

Interested bidders will be required to show an initial deposit of $20,000 in the form of a certified check or bank check in order to register. Checks should be made payable to the bidder.

Description of Property For Sale:

0.83± acres of land improved with a 38,000± square foot multi-story armory building, circa 1894, in average/good overall condition. There is also a vehicle storage/maintenance building at the rear of the building. Minimum bid is $200,000.
