OGS to Hold Sealed Bid Auction for Glens Falls Armory

ALBANY, NY (11/19/2009)(readMedia)-- New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner John C. Egan today announced that OGS will conduct a sealed bid auction for the Glens Falls Armory on Wednesday, December 16.

All sealed bids must be received before 4 p.m., on Tuesday, December 15, 2009. OGS will open the bids at the Corning Tower, 26th Floor, in Albany. Attendance at the Bid Opening is not required. Minimum bid is $350,000 and site inspections will be offered by appointment only. Those seeking to attend the opening should call (518) 474-4944.

The 38,000 square foot armory is a multi-story building located at 147 Warren Street, Glens Falls. It was built in 1894, and declared surplus by the Division of Military and Naval Affairs in July. OGS is conducting the sale for the benefit of the state.
