Oklahoma City's Nicolette Walker receives two scholarships at East Central University

Nicolette Walker, of Oklahoma City, was the recipient of the Billie Fathree Floyd Education Scholarship and the Fern Anderson Scholarships during East Central University Department of Education's recent 2018 Spring Awards Luncheon. The Billie Fathree Floyd Scholarship is awarded to a student who is majoring in elementary education and who plans to teach physical education at the elementary school level. The student must maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative grade-point average and must have been admitted to ECU's Teacher Education Program. Floyd is a longtime Ada resident and former faculty member at ECU. This scholarship was established in her honor by her family, friends and colleagues. The Fern Anderson Scholarship during East Central University Department of Education's recent 2018 Spring Awards Luncheon. The scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in elementary education with a minimum 3.0 grade-point average. Established by her nice Dr. Louise Young, this scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student majoring in elementary education.
