Outside Free Summer Meals Program

Open Sites For At Risk Children

ALBANY, NY (07/07/2016)(readMedia)-- Outside open sites to provide summer meals for at risk children of the Capital District.

Pastor Charlie Muller has learned over the last 18 years that children who are on subsidzed breakfast and lunch programs do not make it to building sites. That is why we decided to take the food to the streets where the kids are playing and enjoying the parks and pools. The outside sites serve these children who will not make it to buildings where lunches are served.

Then their is the matter of the food that is served many times it is not made that morning and is made by a vendor who bids on the food programs. We have learned that making fresh lunches makes all the difference and buying a better meat makes a difference. This year the outside sites will be as follows: Upper and lower lincoln pool,Swinborn Park,RIdgefield Park,Oak Street Park and the JC Club outside summer camp.

Lunches are made by young people wanting to make a difference in a childs life.
