BATAVIA, NY (05/20/2013)(readMedia)-- Tom Owen, a resident of Clarence, NY (14031) was one of eight members of the Genesee Community College men's lacrosse team named to the Western New York Athletic Conference All-Conference Team for the 2013 season. He was named to the All-Conference Second Team.

Owen, a sophomore midfielder, had eight total points (four goals and four assists) this season. He also collected 52 ground balls, which was the fifth highest total on the team.

Genesee finished the season 15-3 overall and held the No. 2 ranking in the NJCAA National Poll. They were Western New York Athletic Conference champions, Region III Western Conference champions and advanced to the NJCAA National Final Four for the third consecutive year.

Genesee Community College athletics program endeavors to provide a quality and competitive intercollegiate athletics program consistent with the National Junior Collegiate Athletics Association (NJCAA) philosophy and the overall educational mission of Genesee Community College.
