ALBANY, NY (02/08/2010)(readMedia)-- The President of the New York State Public Employees Federation (PEF) will provide testimony at the Assembly Ways and Means and Senate Finance Committees hearing on state work force issues.
PEF President Kenneth Brynien will testify on the impact the governor's budget proposal will have on state services and state employees. Brynien will also offer several alternatives to the governor's proposal to cut $250 million from salary and benefits of state employees. PEF's plan identifies several options that will pay for the cost of employee salary givebacks the governor is demanding and the other restorations PEF is seeking.
