PEF to Release Cost-Savings Plan for State
ALBANY, NY (01/12/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Public Employees Federation (PEF) will release details of a cost-savings plan that will save state taxpayers millions and help balance the budget.
At a time when the state is facing severe fiscal constraints, the union representing the state's professional workforce has found ways to cut costs without adding to a beleaguered economy by putting more people out on the street and in need of state services. These practical solutions can be implemented immediately.

PEF President Kenneth Brynien will present the plan and be available for questions.
PEF is the state's second-largest state-employee union, representing 59,000 professional, scientific and technical employees.
