Pacific's Kim Myers Named Student-Athlete of the Month

CANTON, MO (05/09/2013)(readMedia)-- Culver-Stockton College freshman shortstop Kim Myers has been named the Missouri National Guard Student Athlete of the Month for April.

Myers, an early childhood education major from Pacific, Mo. (Pacific HS), played in all 39 games for the Wildcat softball team, making 38 starts. She led the Wildcats in several statistical categories, including batting (.356), hits (37), runs scored (23), doubles (10), home runs (8) and runs batted in (29). In addition, she led all Wildcats with a .702 slugging percentage, a .469 on-base percentage and 22 walks.

Among her other highlights, Myers batted .500 (15 for 30) with runners in scoring position and .442 (19 for 43) when batting with two outs. She also led the Wildcats in two out RBIs with 14. For her efforts, she was named to the All-Heart of America Athletic Conference second team.
