Palatine Native Ryan Kreis Named MVP of Lake Forest Men's Tennis Team

The sophomore won the MWC league title at no. 1 singles.

LAKE FOREST, IL (05/15/2012)(readMedia)-- The Lake Forest College Athletics Department announced their end-of-season awards on Monday. Sophomore Ryan Kreis (Palatine, Ill./William H. Fremd) repeated as the men's tennis team's Most Valuable Player.

Kreis staked his claim as the best player in the Midwest Conference by claiming a league title at #1 singles. He and sophomore Anthony Warren were also semifinalists at the conference tournament at #1 doubles. He finished the spring with a singles record of 15-2, which a pair of victories over nationally-ranked opponents. Kreis was ranked as high as #11 in the Central Region during the season.
