BINGHAMTON, NY (05/24/2012)(readMedia)-- Park Ridge, New Jersey resident and State University of New York, Binghamton student, Jason Kim, has been commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the New York Army National Guard.

Kim, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History, was commissioned as an Artillery officer on May 19 by the Army Reserve Officer Training Corp's Excelsior Battalion. He will attend Artillery Officer Basic Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma . He has been assigned as a platoon leader in Battery B of the 1st Battalion, 258th Field Artillery headquartered in the Bronx, New York.
