HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (05/09/2012)(readMedia)-- At Final Convocation on April 26, Hampden-Sydney College freshman Parker Alexander Dunaway received the Outstanding Freshman Journalist Award, presented by Mr. Yonathan Ararso '13, Editor-in-Chief of the student newspaper, The Hampden-Sydney Tiger. Presented by the student newspaper, this award recognizes the best in newspaper journalism by a freshman.
Parker writes for the student newspaper, The Hampden-Sydney Tiger and has been named Associate Editor. He serves as Secretary of both the Classics Club and the Film Club and is a member of the Future Educators Club. Parker graduated from Christian Life Academy and is the son of Heber E. Dunaway, Jr. MD, of Baton Rouge and Kimbrell Dunaway of Jackson, MS.
