Pastor Charlie Muller and Pastor Ted Ward join forces to stop violence in Schenectady
ALBANY, NY (06/15/2011)(readMedia)-- Pastor Charlie Muller of Victory Church and Pastor Ted Ward of the Schenectady NAACP have joined forces to help stop violence on the streets of Schenectady. Pastor Charlie will bring the successful Cease Fire Enough buy-back program from Albany to Schenectady for one day this Saturday. This one day event will be held this Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 1115 McClyman Street in Hamilton Hill, Schenectady. The buy-back of illegal guns wll begin at 9:00am and run till 5:00pm.
This one day event will give gift cards for guns to Crossgates Mall in Colonie. All those who turn in an illegal, working handgun will receive a gift card for the mall. "In light of the recent shooting in Schenectady, we want to help those residents in Schenectady stop violence in their community." Pastor Charlie. "We have had great success with the Gun Buy-Back program in Albany and we hope to have some of the same results in Schenectady". " The violence has to stop, what this is doing to our communities is horrible, and we know that every gun we collect is helping to stop violence."
Teams will also be handing out Cease Fire material throughout Hamilton Hill on Saturday. This effort will continue through the partnership of Pastor Charlie and the NAACP.
