ITHACA, NY (11/17/2011)(readMedia)--

Ithaca College student Patricia Morin, daughter of Andover residents Susan Henry and Ted Morin, was recently honored with the 2011–12 Advertising Women of New York Scholarship Award. Given annually by the AWNY, the award recognizes undergraduates for their academic achievement and interest in the advertising industry. Morin is a senior business administration major in the college's School of Business.

"I'm very thankful to AWNY for this opportunity," Morin said. "Receiving this scholarship will help me financially, but it is also gratifying to be recognized by an organization that I respect and admire."

Founded in 1912 as the first women's association in the communications industry, AWNY now numbers some 1,500 professionals representing the fields of advertising, marketing, media, promotion and public relations.
