PAUL SMITHS, NY (06/02/2016)(readMedia)-- A 1968 graduate of Paul Smith's College will serve as the newest member of the college's Board of Trustees beginning this August.

Ken Raymond, a former Hotel Management major at Paul Smith's, is the founder and CEO of Prime Companies. He owns and manages Holiday Inn Express, Hilton Homewood Suites, Hotel Indigo and The Pavilion Grand Hotel.

"Paul Smith's means so much to me," Raymond said. "The college helped me launch my own career, and now, I have a chance to give back. I'm excited to help guide this institution as it develops career-ready graduates through hands-on, personalized education."

Raymond has served for 12 years as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees at Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y., where he heads the Facilities Committee and works with Student Admissions. He has also worked for more than a decade with Catholic Charities and currently serves as first vice president on its Board of Trustees.

"I'm so pleased to welcome such an accomplished Paul Smith's alumnus to the Board of Trustees," said Cathy Dove, president of Paul Smith's College. "Mr. Raymond's business experience and history with the college will be invaluable."
