Pavement Repairs Near Interchange 48A (Pembroke) to Necessitate Lane Closures

Motorists May Experience Moderate Delays

ALBANY, NY (10/23/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced pavement repairs near Interchange 48A (Pembroke) will necessitate lane closures in both eastbound and westbound directions beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, weather permitting.

On Tuesday, October 27 beginning at 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, pavement repairs will take place in the right westbound lane from milepost 405 to milepost 406.

On Wednesday, October 28 beginning at 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, pavement repairs will take place in the right eastbound lane from milepost 406 to milepost 405.

On Wednesday, November 4 beginning at 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, pavement repairs will take place in the left eastbound lane from milepost 406 to milepost 404.8.

During this project, motorists may experience moderate delays. Moderate delays mean that motorists' travel time could be delayed 5 to 20 minutes longer than normal time.

The Authority will activate its Dynamic Message Sign (DMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) to advise motorists of these closures.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience and understanding while this important project takes place.
