Pedlar Named NSCAA All-American

HERKIMER, NY (12/27/2011)(readMedia)-- Herkimer County Community College men's soccer player Devarr Pedlar was named National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) All-American.
Devarr Pedlar, Brooklyn, NY, a Liberal Arts & Sciences: General Studies major, was named NSCAA Second-Team All-American. Coach Aragon said, "Devarr played exceptionally well for the Generals this season".
Herkimer County Community College shared the No. 1 ranking with Mt. San Antonio College, LaPuente, CA in the final NSCAA/Continental Tire Division III national ranking. Herkimer is also the NJCAA national champion.
Pedlar will be recognized at the annual All-America luncheon, to be held in Kansas City, MO on January 14, in conjunction with the 2012 NSCAA Convention.
Herkimer County Community College is a unit of the State University of New York, located in Herkimer, NY about 20 miles east of Utica, NY. With an enrollment of approximately 3,600 students, Herkimer offers more than 40 associate degree and certificate programs, on-campus housing, an active co-curricular activities schedule and a national championship athletic program. Herkimer is a Division III member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and has amassed 33 national, 85 regional and 126 conference championships. Herkimer placed second in the 2010-11 National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Cup competition.
