Penn State professor and State College resident honored at his alma mater
Vincent M. Colapietro, Ph.D., of State College, was honored by the Alumni Council of his alma mater, Saint Anselm College.
MANCHESTER, NH (01/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Vincent M. Colapietro, Ph.D., of State College, was honored by the Alumni Council of his alma mater, Saint Anselm College. He received the Academic Achievement Award for his numerous contributions to the field of philosophy.
A liberal arts research professor in the Department of Philosophy at Pennsylvania State University, Colapietro graduated from Saint Anselm with a bachelor's in philosophy in 1973. He earned his master's and doctoral degrees at Marquette University, has co-edited the Journal of Speculative Philosophy, and is a frequent speaker at institutions around the country and internationally.
The Academic Achievement Award recognizes an alumnus for distinguished academic achievement or scholarship and exemplary contributions to the field of education.
Saint Anselm College is a liberal arts college in the Catholic, Benedictine tradition, which prepares nearly 2,000 undergraduates for graduate school and careers on a 400-acre campus outside Manchester, N.H.
