Lebanon Valley College’s Revolution Colloquium Series will present the animated film “Persepolis” (2007) Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m. at Annville’s Allen Theatre.

ANNVILLE, PA (02/17/2014)(readMedia)-- Lebanon Valley College's Revolution Colloquium Series will present the animated film "Persepolis" (2007) Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m. at Annville's Allen Theatre. Admission is $3 for the public, $1 for non-LVC students, and free for LVC students with student ID.

Marjane 'Marij' Statrapi is a precocious and outspoken Iranian girl growing up during the Islamic Revolution. She witnesses the repressive tyranny of new fundamentalist rulers, and is troubled by what she finds while studying abroad in Vienna. Ultimately, Marji and her homeland both change, which forces her to decide where she truly belongs.

Revolution is a year-long integrated series of guest speakers, performances, exhibitions, films, and academic courses that will consider the ideas of revolution and evolution as competing yet interdependent ways to describe the changes that surround and shape human life.
