Phoenix House + Girls Just Want to Have Fun Host Clothing Drive for Individuals in Recovery

To celebrate International Women's Month, Phoenix House New York partners with Girls Just Want to Have Fun for a free pop up boutique for individuals in recovery from substance use disorders

BROOKLYN, NY (03/29/2024) (readMedia)-- On Saturday, March 30th, Phoenix House New York and Girls Just Want to Have Fun will host a free pop up boutique for individuals in recovery. Advocates have donated brand new and gently worn clothing to the boutique where those in recovery will be able to freely select brand new or like new clothes and accessories at no cost. Empowering women and dignifying people in recovery reduces stigma, saves lives, and builds strong communities.

5,413 New Yorkers died due to opioid related overdoses in 2022 in New York. In January,New York State Governor Hochul outlined her plans to tackle the opioid crisis, including investments to support the most vulnerable and underserved communities.
