Phoenix House Hosts New York's Top Judicial Leaders for Site Visit Highlighting Recovery Oriented Treatment

BROOKLYN, NY (07/20/2026) (readMedia)-- On Friday, Phoenix House of New York and Long Island hosted a site visit with several of New York's most senior judicial leaders, offering a firsthand look at the organization's outpatient and residential treatment programs and the role they play in serving individuals mandated into care by the courts.

During the visit, the group toured Phoenix House's Long Island City Outpatient and Residential programs, gaining insight into the comprehensive services the nonprofit provides to individuals throughout their recovery journey. Judges and staff also heard directly from clients who were court-mandated into treatment, offering the visiting officials a deep understanding of the programs' impact.

The delegation included Honorable Rowan D. Wilson, Chief Judge of the State of New York and the New York Court of Appeals, Honorable Adam Silvera, Deputy Chief Administrative Judge for the New York City Courts, Honorable Debra J. Young, Statewide Coordinating Judge for Problem-Solving Courts, overseeing Drug Treatment Courts and Mental Health Treatment Courts and Jessie A. Aitcheson, Esq., Assistant Deputy Counsel to the Honorable Debra J. Young.
