Phoenix House to Host Holiday Pantry Party

Rehab center to give out free holiday pajamas and pantry bags for local families

BROOKLYN, NY (12/21/2020) (readMedia)-- On Tuesday, Phoenix Houses of New York and Long Island -- one of New York's largest providers of substance abuse treatment and care -- will hold a holiday pantry party for local families. Those who attend will receive kids holiday pajamas, as well as a pantry box full of Christmas food including ham and canned veggies. The Brooklyn Community Recovery Center offers peer professional recovery services staffed by Certified Peer Recovery Advocates with lived experience is SUD and recovery.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had profound impacts on New Yorkers. Nearly one in four households have experienced food insecurity at some point this year.
