Phoenix native Dylan Hartman named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week
The sophomore at Lake Forest College scored a pair of goals in a recent victory at Ripon.
LAKE FOREST, IL (10/08/2013)(readMedia)-- Lake Forest College men's soccer player Dylan Hartman (Phoenix, Ariz./Cactus Shadows) was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week for his performance in the Foresters' 3-2 victory at Ripon College on Saturday.
Hartman, a sophomore forward, scored a pair of goals in the game's first 20 minutes to keep the Foresters in the contest. Ripon had taken as early lead on a penalty shot just 42 seconds into the game but Hartman tied the score 100 seconds later. The Red Hawks pulled back ahead at the 7:06 mark but Lake Forest drew even again at 19:06 on Hartman's second score of the day and third in as many games this season.
The Foresters scored what turned out to be the final goal of the contest at the 31:52 mark. They are now 6-5-0 overall this season and 4-0-0 in conference play.
It was the second career two-goal game for Hartman, who also accomplished the feat in his third game last season.
