Piano Players Win State Fair Awards
DES MOINES, IA (08/13/2024) (readMedia)-- The dexterous digits of competitors from across the Midwest were on display in the Piano contest judged Monday, August 12, the 2024 Iowa State Fair.
Jason McNeely of Knoxville won first place in the Adult Division. Fr. Kevin Emge of Grinnell and Ty Stephany of Broken Arrow, OK, tied for second place.
Charles Smith of Ottumwa won first place in the Youth Division. Addie McNeely of Knoxville earned second place and Carlee Smith of Laurel claimed third place.
The contest was part of "Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions" in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
