Pippa Friedman of Silver Spring Accepted into Ethics Symposium

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (02/28/2014)(readMedia)-- St. Mary's College of Maryland junior Pippa Friedman, a native of Silver Spring, Md., has been accepted into the 7th annual Undergraduate Ethics Symposium at the Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. It is her second year in a row as a participant at Prindle. This year's symposium, "Virtue and Victory: Ethical Challenges in Competitive Life," will be held from April 10 through 12 and will host 30 students from across the country who will attend lectures and share their ethics-related work with faculty scholars and their peers.

At St. Mary's College of Maryland, Friedman is double-majoring in history and philosophy. On campus, she is a Nitze Scholar and member of the Ethics Bowl team.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, in ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
