Planned Parenthood Honors Teen View Alumni
Peer Education Program Credited for Career Success
SCHENECTADY, NY (09/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Cyber security professional Randy Rose said that the presentation and improvisational skills he learned in Teen View contributed to his successful career and military service. Rose credits his experience as a Teen View advisor as excellent preparation for his role in the military as a trainer and supervisor.
A former active duty airman and current member of the New York Air Guard, Rose is a 2002 graduate of Schuylerville Central School. He resides in Halfmoon with his wife and daughter. A fellow Teen View alumnus served as the best man at his wedding.
Teen View alumna Theresa Taylor credits her experience as a peer educator with influencing her career choice and pursuit of master's degrees in criminal justice and social work.
"I joined to be part of a group. In reality Teen View becomes a part of who you are and how you see yourself and the world." A 2002 graduate of South Glens Falls High School, Taylor said that she "made life long friends in Teen View," and married a Teen View alumnus.
