OMRDD to Make Major Autism Announcement

ALBANY, NY (05/21/2008)(readMedia)-- FACT:

Autism is more common in childhood than cancer, diabetes and AIDS combined.

Autism is a pervasive issue in our society. On Wednesday, May 28, in the New York State Capitol Blue Room, the NYS Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities will announce a major new initiative to address this growing concern. OMRDD Commissioner Diana Jones Ritter will be joined by key lawmakers and individuals with autism and their families.
