Princeville's Bethany Dorrington named NACC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, IL (12/18/2013)(readMedia)-- Aurora University sophomore guard Bethany Dorrington (Princeville, Ill./Princeville H.S.) was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 15, 2013.

Dorrington led the Spartans to a 2-0 week with wins over Rockford University (78-67) and Edgewood College (67-65). She averaged 23.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 45.0 percent from three-point range. Her week was highlighted in the Spartans' win at Edgewood where she scored a game-high 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

On the season, Dorrington is averaging a team-high 15.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game for the Spartans, 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the NACC.
