Public Input Sought on Stony Creek Proposal
- 94.4 Mw Wind Electric Generating Facility -
ALBANY, NY (09/09/2011)(readMedia)-- The New York State Public Service Commission (Commission) will hold public statement hearings concerning a proposal by Stony Creek Energy LLC (Stony Creek) to construct, own, and operate the Stony Creek Wind Farm. Stony Creek seeks the Commission's permission and approval pursuant to Section 68 of the Public Service Law to construct and operate a wind electric generating facility with a rate capacity of up to 94.4 megawatts (MWs) in Orangeville, Wyoming County. Stony Creek also requested lightened regulation as an electric corporation and approval of its debt financing plans.

Public Statement Hearing
The public will have an opportunity to present their comments at the hearings before an Administrative Law Judge. A verbatim transcript of the hearings will be made for inclusion in the record of this proceeding.
It is not necessary to make an appointment in advance or to present written material in order to speak at the public statement hearings. Speakers will be called after completing a card requesting time to speak.
