ALBANY, NY (06/01/2009)(readMedia)-- Mark Mahoney of the Glens Falls Post Star, this year's Pulitzer Prize winner for editorial writing, will be discussing the significance of open government at a meeting of the Committee on Open Government. Mahoney's winning entries focused on open government issues and the use and abuse of the state's Freedom of Information and Open Meetings Laws.
The Committee on Open Government is responsible for overseeing and advising with regard to the Freedom of Information, Open Meetings and Personal Privacy Protection Laws.
