Pulitzer Prize Winner Mark Mahoney to Speak at Committee on Open Government Meeting

ALBANY, NY (06/01/2009)(readMedia)-- Mark Mahoney of the Glens Falls Post Star, this year's Pulitzer Prize winner for editorial writing, will be discussing the significance of open government at a meeting of the Committee on Open Government. Mahoney's winning entries focused on open government issues and the use and abuse of the state's Freedom of Information and Open Meetings Laws.

The Committee on Open Government is responsible for overseeing and advising with regard to the Freedom of Information, Open Meetings and Personal Privacy Protection Laws.

Where: The Department of State, 99 Washington Avenue, Albany, in the conference room in Suite 1100, and at the Department's New York City office at 123 William Street in the 19th floor conference room.
