Quincy Resident to Take Final Bow on the Curry College Stage

MILTON , MA (03/21/2012)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that 2008 graduate of Quincy High School, Marita MacKinnon, daughter of George and Mary MacKinnon, will be appearing in the role of Madame Pernelle in Moliere's classic comedy, Tartuffe. Marita is currently a senior majoring in communication. Active in theatre throughout her college career she has been seen on the Curry stage in Death of a Salesman, Be Careful What You Wish For, To See the Stars, and Justice Man. She has lent her audio talents, as sound designer, to the Curry stage in the New England premiere of Steve Longmuir's comedy, The Peanute Galleria, as well as for G.P. Productions, in Gail Phaneuf's Monsters: The Musical. Marita also currently serves on the Curry Theatre supervisory board as the House and Box Office Manager as well as the Station Manager for the college's award-winning radio station, WMLN.
A timeless tale of seduction, stealth, and hilarious hypocrisy Tartuffe comes to the Curry stage April 28 to May 1 at 7:30 p.m., in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus of Curry College, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).
Curry College is a 132-year old, private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth. Curry offers 20 undergraduate degrees as well as graduate degrees in business, education, criminal justice and nursing, with a combined enrollment of approximately 4,150 students.
