Quinn Promoted to Professor at SUNY Canton

CANTON, NY (12/03/2015)(readMedia)-- Pamela P. Quinn has been promoted to professor at SUNY Canton. She is the curriculum coordinator for the associate degree program in Dental Hygiene, located at the Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Rome, N.Y.

Quinn has been a licensed dental hygienist since 1975. She was one of the founding faculty members of the program and led the American Dental Association accreditation site visits in 2007 and 2014.

Her professional honors include a 2015 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Faculty Service, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the campus, SUNY, the community or professional organizations.

Quinn was selected primarily for her coordination of outreach initiatives that provide free dental care and education to local youth. The projects have earned four American Dental Hygienists Association Student Member Community Service Awards.

In addition to serving as a peer reviewer of textbooks and journals, she is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Hygiene Association and the Dental Hygiene Association of the State of New York.

Quinn earned a bachelor of science as well as a master of science degree in Health Education from the State University of New York at Cortland.
