Raleigh resident wins Carswell Scholarship to Wake Forest University
WINSTON SALEM, NC (06/17/2013)(readMedia)-- Alexander "Ryan" Hudson of Raleigh, NC, is the recipient of the Guy T. Carswell Scholarship to attend Wake Forest University in the fall.
The four-year scholarship is one of the most selective in the nation. Each winner receives an annual stipend covering the costs of tuition, room, board and personal expenses plus grant opportunities for summer research, travel and international study.
Carswell Scholars are typically at the top one percent of their class and are chosen for their unusual distinction in the classroom and their exceptional civic leadership potential. The scholarship was established in 1968 in honor of Guy T. Carswell.
Hudson, the son of Jack Hudson and Brenda Hudson, will graduate from Needham B. Broughton High School in Raleigh, NC.
