Rebeka Alva honored by Hartwick College, NY

Rebeka Alva of East Stroudsburg, PA, was recognized with multiple awards during Hartwick College's annual Honors Convocation, celebrated on May 3.

She was honored with the Sarah Keyes Bresee Scholarship for Native America, African American or Hispanic American students. Established by Marilyn Keyes Roper in memory of her mother, Sarah Keyes Bresee, the scholarship is awarded to a second or third-year student who has created or implemented activities at Hartwick College that advance the awareness and appreciation of their heritage. Alva also received the Modern and Classical Languages Department Prize, which is given in recognition of outstanding work.

During the Student Leadership Awards event held on April 13, Alva was recognized by Hartwick's Student Government Association with the Emerging Leader award.
