Red Bank Resident Lawrence Lehmann Elected Vice Chair of Drexel University's Alumni Board of Governors
PHILADELPHIA, PA (08/08/2011)(readMedia)-- The Drexel University Alumni Association announced the newly elected members of its Board of Governors Executive Committee for the 2011-2013 term. Elected to the position of vice chair is Red Bank resident Lawrence Lehmann '72.
Lehmann has served on the Board of Governors since 2009, participating on the Communications Committee, the Grants Committee and the Student Relations Committee.
"I am interested in helping the Drexel University Alumni Association grow by engaging more young alumni," said Lehmann.
"The success of the Association lies with the involvement of alumni at all levels, but especially at the young alumni level. The Drexel University Alumni Association needs to engage students before they become alumni - when they are sophomores, pre-juniors, juniors and seniors. I hope that the programs the organization sponsors will be of interest to all alumni, but especially our most recent graduates."
Lehmann is a senior project manager with RPMS Consulting Engineers located in Monroe, New Jersey. RPMS focuses on the petroleum and petrochemical industries and in particular the storage and distribution facilities owned and operated by major oil companies, distributors and for hire terminal operators.
Founded in 1965, the Drexel University Alumni Association is dedicated to keeping alumni in touch, informed, involved and invested in the university. The Alumni Association continuously works to strengthen the lifelong bond between Drexel and its alumni, to support and enhance the student experience and to help shape the future of Drexel.
