Redlands Native Jonathan Blomberg to Receive Missions Award
LA MIRADA, CA (02/25/2014)(readMedia)-- Jonathan Blomberg, a pilot and mechanic for Mission Aviation Fellowship in Bunia, Congo, grew up in Redlands, Calif. and is the winner of Clyde Cook Missions Award this year at Biola University. Living in Bunia, Blomberg ('03) carries missionaries, humanitarian workers and supplies wherever they need to go. Blomberg was also in Haiti for three weeks after the 2010 earthquake and completed IT work in Sumatra after the 2004 tsunami.
He will be honored Friday, Feb. 28, where Biola annually celebrates esteemed alumni at an Alumni Award Chapel and ceremony. Other awards that will be presented include the Cultural Impact Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Alumni in Media Award.
