Reece to Speak at University of Tennessee May 11

PADUCAH, KY (05/02/2018) Dr. Anton Reece, president of West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC), will be the featured commencement speakers at the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences at the University of Tennessee (UT) - Knoxville.

The ceremony will be at 7 p.m. May 11 in the Thompson Boling area.

Dr. Reece, WKCTC president since 2016, received his doctorate in educational psychology and research from UT and subsequently worked at UT for 13 years, ultimately as associate vice provost of student success and director of the Student Success Center. Earlier in his career, Dr. Reece - who hails from the Caribbean country of Barbados - worked at Voice of Barbados Radio and was a guest anchor for Caribbean Broadcasting Television news.

During the past 28 years, Reece has spoken to more than 600 corporations, colleges, high schools, youth organizations, churches and prisons in more than 10 states.
