Reed Family Berks Takes Top Honors at Iowa State Fair Berkshire Show

DES MOINES, IA (09/04/2015)(readMedia)-- Reed Family Berks of Ottumwa showed the Grand Champion Boar and Champion Gilt at the Berkshire Swine show at the 2015 Iowa State Fair. The Reserve Boar was shown by Schmaling Brothers Berkshires of Ogden and the Reserve Gilt banner was awarded to CJL Farms of Council Bluffs.

The Premier Exhibitor award went to Shady Brook Farm of Oakland for the second year in a row. The Premier Exhibitor Award is given to the exhibitor who accumulates the most points based upon the day's placings.

Animals are divided according to farrowing date based on the other animals entered in the competition.
