Registration Open for SUNY Potsdam's 45th Annual Summer Basketball Camp

SUNY Potsdam International Summer Basketball Camp to be Offered July 12 to 16

POTSDAM, NY (02/23/2015)(readMedia)-- SUNY Potsdam will host the 45th annual International Summer Basketball Camp from July 12 to 16. Registration is now open, and players in grades 4-12 are welcome to join.

Since 1970, the International Summer Basketball Camp at SUNY Potsdam has attracted more than 13,450 campers from Northern New York, 20 different states, the provinces of Ontario and Québec, and around the world. Last summer, over 250 players learned skills through individual and group instruction, from a staff of 50 top college and high school coaches.

Since many of the campers are from Canada, this coeducational camp is truly international in flavor. It is one of the only camps in the country where children from both countries have an opportunity to learn about their neighbors and play on the same team.

Although both boys and girls attend camp in the same sessions, the skill groups and teams are not co-ed. Campers will be grouped by age and/or ability level to ensure their maximum development.

In addition, an Olympic-size pool, a state-of-the-art weight and exercise room, indoor and outdoor tracks, and a modern athletic training room are available for all campers.
