Revised: 6:30pm, Temporary Closure Of Highway Speed E-Z Pass At Spring Valley Toll Barrier

ALBANY, NY (11/25/2011)(readMedia)-- The temporary closure of the Highway Speed E-Z Pass lanes at the Spring Valley Toll Barrier will be in place from 12 midnight Monday, Nov 28 until 4 a.m. Tuesday, Nov 29, the New York State Thruway Authority has announced.

Repair work to the Spring Valley Toll Barrier, located on I-87 northbound at milepost 24.3, will force the closure of all three northbound highway speed lanes and divert all traffic into the toll booth lanes. All traffic, including passenger and commercial vehicles, will be diverted through the toll lanes. Tolls will be collected from commercial vehicles only, passenger vehicles will not have to pay a toll.

All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

The Authority will activate Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to advise motorists of the closure.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience while this essential work takes place.
