Reyes Montes III of Houston has been named Schreiner University Student Leader of the Month for September

KERRVILLE, TX (10/17/2013)(readMedia)-- Reyes Montes III from Houston, Texas has been named Schreiner University's Student of the Month for September. Montes is a senior biology major from and he currently serves as an intern for the Student Activities Board (SAB) and has been involved as a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, the Medical Careers Club, choir, musicals, as well as a Peer Advisor for the Schreiner's orientation programs. Upon graduation, he plans to attend medical school in either Australia or Mexico.

Angie Bauman, Director of Student Activities stated that Reyes "has been wonderful this year. He's taken initiative on events, staff supervision, and thinking up creative events. He's been incredibly engaged and responsible, even though he's involved in countless other activities."

The Student Leader of the Month, sponsored by Student Services, recognizes a Schreiner University undergraduate student for their excellence in leadership through campus involvement, leadership activities and/or through volunteer and community service programs.
