Ribbons Awarded in 4-H Dog Show at State Fair

DES MOINES, IA (08/24/2011)(readMedia)-- Youth from across the state competed in the 4-H Dog Show held Sunday at the 2011 Iowa State Fair. Dogs were judged in two divisions: obedience and handling.

In the Handling category, Debbie Jensen of Des Moines and her German Shepherd were awarded Best in Show. Amber Jewell of Roland earned Best Junior Handler with her Shetland Sheepdog.

Helena Schuldt of Des Moines and her Shetland Sheepdog were awarded Highest Scoring Dog in the Obedience category. Shade Hall of Minburn and her Pug won Highest Scoring Junior.
