Ridgefield resident Shannon Keating wins outstanding student achievement award at Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, CT (05/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Shannon Keating, a freshman at Connecticut College, was awarded the Class of '93 Prize in the Study of Religion, for outstanding performance in an introductory course in the study of religion by a first or second year student. Keating was presented with the award at the annual Honors and Awards ceremony at Connecticut College on April 27.

Keating, a resident of Ridgefield, is a 2010 graduate of Ridgefield High School.

At the ceremony, Timo V. Ovaska, Hans and Ella McCollum '21 Vahlteich Professor of Chemistry, gave the keynote address. Dean of the College Community Armando Bengochea and Dean of the Faculty Roger Brooks also congratulated the students.
