River Forest resident Yanfei Hu receives Dominican's Outstanding Service Leadership Award

RIVER FOREST, IL (05/03/2011)(readMedia)-- Yanfei Hu, a resident of River Forest, recently received the Outstanding Service Leadership Award from Dominican University for her extraordinary service on campus and in the larger community.

Hu is an MBA student who has used both her faith and her cultural heritage in service to others. She has offered her language skills in several areas: teaching basic Chinese to Dominican students attended the university's China study abroad program, as well as accompanying this group as an interpreter and assistant. She also served as a guide and interpreter for a promotional tour of Chicago for 20 representatives from several Asian countries. She has also taught Chinese at Queen of Peace High School, Maria High School and St. Joseph High School.

Founded in 1901, Dominican University is a comprehensive, coeducational Catholic institution offering bachelor's degrees through the Rosary College of Arts and Sciences and master's degrees through the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, the Brennan School of Business, the School of Education, and the Graduate School of Social Work.
