Rockford native Aidan Price named Semifinalist for the 2012 William V. Campbell Trophy

The senior from Lake Forest College is among 41 Division III Student-Athletes

LAKE FOREST, IL (10/24/2012)(readMedia)-- The National Football Foundation recently announced that Lake Forest College senior safety Aidan Price (Rockford, Ill./Honenegah H.S.) is among the semifinalists for the 2012 William V. Campbell Trophy, endowed by HealthSouth, which recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation.

The organization lists 147 players from all collegiate levels as candidates for the 2012 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Awards. Among them are 41 NCAA Division III student-athletes, including Price.

Candidates for the awards must be in their final season of eligibility with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2. They must also be a starter or significant contributor on their team and have demonstrated strong leadership and citizenship.

Price has helped lead the Foresters to a 7-1 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in Midwest Conference play so far this season. He has started all eight contests and ranks third on the team and tied-for-ninth in the league with 57 tackles. He is a two-time Academic All-Midwest Conference honoree and was a member of the 2011 Lake Forest College All-Sportsmanship Team.
