Rockford's Lauren Whitfield named to MWLC All-Sportsmanship Team

AURORA, IL (05/01/2014)(readMedia)-- Aurora University freshman midfielder Lauren Whitfield (Rockford, Michigan/Rockford H.S.) was selected to the 2014 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) All-Sportsmanship Team.

Whitfield finished the season with 15 goals and two assists, along with a team-leading 41 ground balls and 41 draw controls.

The Spartans finished their second season of competition with a 4-11 overall record and were 3-7 in the MWLC.

The MWLC All-Sportsmanship Team was established this season to honor one player from each team for outstanding dedication to sportsmanship and for their portrayal of good sportsmanship, fair play and a positive attitude.
