Rocky Hill Resident Jillian Sandler Wins Outstanding Student Achievement Award at Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, CT (05/22/2013)(readMedia)-- Jillian Sandler, a senior at Connecticut College, was awarded the Ruby Turner Morris Prize, to a senior major for excellence in economics offered by the economics department in honor of the late Ruby Turner Morris, Lucretia Allyn Professor Emeritus of Economics. Sandler was presented with the award at the annual Honors & Awards ceremony at Connecticut College on May 8.

Sandler is a 2009 graduate of Kingswood-Oxford School.

At the ceremony, the awards were presented by President Leo I. Higdon, Jr. and Carolyn C. Denard, dean of the college. Cherise A. Harris, associate professor of sociology, gave the keynote address.
